On the instructions of Minister Sidi Tiémoko TOURE, His Excellency Mr. IPO Désiré paid a heartfelt tribute on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Chancellery of the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire, to Mr. HONMA Ken San, who had served since 2013 the Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources (MIRAH) as a technical advisor.
At the conclusion of his assignment in December 2025, constraints related to the political calendar had prevented the minister from paying him the tribute he fully deserves. However, as time cannot alter the duty of gratitude, Minister TOURE Sidi Tiémoko, in a speech delivered through videoconference, paid tribute on behalf of the Government and in his own name to the honoree for his recognized expertise, exemplary professionalism, unwavering commitment, and their lasting impact on the fisheries sector. Mr. HONMA Ken has made a remarkable contribution to the development of the fisheries sector in Côte d’Ivoire.
The ceremony concluded with a cocktail reception held in honor of the recipient, who was accompanied for the occasion by numerous Japanese dignitaries and in the presence of Dr. GNADJI Danielle, the MIRAH officer at the Embassy, as well as the entire Embassy staff.
